Announcing: Asphalt Fiends Coloring Book Contest

Asphalt Fiends Coloring Book is teaming up with Gnarly Magazine for 2019!
This is a call for artists to design line art for interior pages of the coloring book, as well as full color artwork for the coloring book’s front cover.

HELPING HANNAH’S HEART:
Hannah’s Heart Foundation is a non-profit, helping families who are dealing with the financial burden that comes from having a child with Critical Aortic Stenosis or related Congenital Heart Defects. Expenses can add up quickly: Hotels, taxis, missed work, shots, medical deductibles, food, prescriptions, doctor visits, airfare, lab work, x-rays, etc. Our hope is that this foundation can help offset the medical expenses for many families in need.

COLORING BOOK INTERIOR PAGES:
Artists, if you would like to be part of the 2019 Asphalt Fiends coloring book, please submit your line art to Gnarly Magazine by Monday, December 3rd, 2018.
- No more than two (2) line art entries per artist
- Your line art submission(s) can be something totally new or something you’ve already illustrated
- Line art must be family friendly
- Size: 8.5” x 11”
- Vertical images please. They look better when going through the coloring book.
- Resolution: 300dpi
- Format: .AI, .PSD, .PDF

The top 6 vote-getters will have their art in the 2019 Asphalt Fiends coloring book.
There will be one editor’s pick as well. This will be chosen from those that didn’t make it into the top 6 in vote totals.
Winning artists will be in the table of contents on the inside front/back cover of the Asphalt Fiends coloring book. We’ll include your name as well as your websites/Instagram pages. Also, feel free to include your name on the line art itself.

ASPHALT FIENDS FRONT COVER CONTEST:
We are also holding a contest for the front cover art. In addition to the line art submissions, we are also looking for full color cover art for the coloring book.
The Asphalt Fiends coloring book will have two covers. Half of the covers will be artwork chosen by the Asphalt Fiends team and the other half will have the cover chosen by a panel of judges. The panel of judges are: John Wells of Vintage Torque and Johnny VonGnarly of Gnarly Magazine.
Artists, please note that there can only be one winner of the cover art contest. Remember, this is for a great cause. Even though the hard work you put into your cover design may not lead to it being chosen and published, you’re still helping a wonderful charity just by participating.
*NOTE: You can submit a new, original cover design OR you can submit something that you’ve already designed. Your call.
