Call For Charity Skateboard Artists - Art On Deck - Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2026

It's that time of year again where Gnarly Magazine and Flying Piston Benefit do our call for 20 ARTISTS to paint a one-of-a-kind skate deck for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally “Art on Deck” charity skateboard art contest and charity auction.

We provide the blank skateboard deck and you provide your time and talents, all for a great cause!

This is an exclusive art showcase that drops during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and fuels the mission of the Flying Piston Benefit.

Date: Sunday, August 9th
Location: Buffalo Chip Big Engine Bar

Winner of the Art on Deck contest will receive $200 ($100 from Flying Piston Benefit, $100 from Gnarly Magazine)

Each skateboard deck will be auctioned off during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at the Buffalo Chip Big Engine Bar on Sunday, August 9th to support All Kids Bike, helping teach kindergarteners across America how to ride. 

ART THEME OPTIONS:

1. Underground comix (R. Crumb era)
2. Hot Rod and Biker art
3. Surf / Skate culture
4. Kustom Kulture themes
5. Evil Knievel
6. Stunt riders

ART GUIDELINE: 

• Medium: Anything that adheres to a skate deck—paint, markers, collage, mixed media.
• No politics please
• No hate

DEADLINE: 
Your finished skate deck need to be completed, shipped out and in our hands at Sturgis by -or before- July 27th, 2026.
