The New Gnarly Magazine

Big changes are rolling in for GNARLY Magazine in 2026.

Starting January 1st, I’ll once again be the sole owner of GNARLY. I’m still on great terms with Chuck Stanfill, who co-owned the mag with me these past few years, but he’s chosen to refocus on his own brands. In business, we all have our babies—and sometimes it’s just time to give them our full attention.

For 2026, I’m steering GNARLY down a refreshed path, especially when it comes to content. I grew up glued to magazines—MAD, Easyriders, Juxtapoz, old men’s mags, all that gritty, weird, creative stuff that shaped so many of us.

So here’s the plan: I’m giving GNARLY a sharper edge. I’m mothballing my other publication, HUSSY Magazine, and pulling some of that sexy, raw, classic Easyriders-style energy into GNARLY. This lets me add some heat to the pages while putting 100% of my focus into the world’s greatest kustom kulture magazine.

GNARLY will continue showcasing chopper builders, kustom painters, pinstripers, sign painters, lowbrow artists, tattooers—you know, the whole tribe. But we’ll also be mixing in select models and comics from HUSSY to bring a little more attitude and fun into the mix.

We’ll be putting even more emphasis on motorcycle builders, painters, and all things choppers. We’re not abandoning hot rods, muscle cars, vans, or trucks—but I believe honing in on a tighter focus will make the magazine stronger. And if you’re a pinstriper or painter working on a hot rod? Don’t worry—we’re absolutely still featuring your work.

As we kick off this new direction, we’re also gearing up for issue #22. So if you’re a pinstriper, lowbrow artist, builder, comic artist, model, or anyone else in the kustom kulture world, hit me up if you’d like to be featured or contribute to the next evolution of GNARLY Magazine.

Thanks so much for your continued support.
